Dear Medusa Title Sequence

A title sequence for a tv show adaption of the book Dear Medusa by Olivia A. Cole. The design was inspired by both the original book cover and by how the book is written as freeform poems. Using a mixture of hand drawn illustrated animation and simple stop-motion photo animation, along with animated handwritten text and a loose marker style typeface, The freeform poem and diary style of the book is able to be conveyed. The animals used in the sequence are the wolf and snake, which help hint towards how the main character relates herself to Medusa and the antagonists to wolves. The music choice helps relate how the main character is still dealing with the anger and isolation caused from actions before the story while also conveying her overcoming this negative feelings
