Leandra: Invisible Cities

Leandra is a city featured in the book "Invisible Cities", and through the use of typography and creating a handmade book object, I aimed to capture the unique characteristics of the city. Leandra features includes two different species of tiny gods that were numerous in number. The typography focuses on both slab and regular serif fonts along with custom lettering for that mixes both slab and regular serif. This book object uses the flap fold layout featuring multiple flaps that act as individual pages going from top right to top left, to down and to the right, and finally down and to the left. By using a flap fold layout, I could capture the numerous and small characteristics of the gods along with using two colors to represent the two species.
